Simba As Moses:

Both Simba and Moses are Prince's who were banished from their homeland's because of murder. Simba is exiled from Pride land when he is blamed for the death of his father, Mufasa. While, Moses is exiled from Egypt to avoid punishment, after he killed an Egyptian. Later, when Simba becomes an adult he see's a vision of Mufasa in the water telling him to go take his place in 'The Circle of Life" and to " Remember who you are"( Ward, 2002). Mufasa motivates Simba to go back to Pride land to defeat uncle Scar and become king. Similarly, Moses returns to Egypt after he encounters a burning bush telling him to go back to Egypt and take care of his people. To conclude God is inside both Simba and Moses, therefore Simba is able to defeat Scar while Moses defeat's the Pharaoh.

Mufasa As God:

Mufasa's charcter relates to God, because in the movie after Mufasa's death, Mufasa appears in the sky multiple times through a ray of sunlight or a storm cloud telling Simba that he is there to guide him whenever he feels alone. This is similar to God , who is Jesus's father because God also watched over his son , Jesus and guided him through life. However, in the movie Rafiki also tells Simba " He lives in you"(Barfield,2013), this is also similar to the figure of God because God lives in all of us, and he is watching over all of us from Heaven.

Rafiki As A Priest:

The role of Rafiki  in the movie "The Lion King" , is  to watch over Simba and guide him through life after the death of Mufasa. Also, Rafiki is responsible for " Baptizing" new cubs with his blessing. Similarly, priests baptize newborns into the world by washing away their sins with holy water.
